Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2025 • Last updated: December 2025
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how CPI Escalator (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information when you use the Service.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as email address, calculation parameters, rent amounts, letter content, and configuration settings. If you choose to save drafts, those drafts are stored to support the functionality of the Service.
We may also collect limited technical information, such as IP address, timestamps, and user-agent data, for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes.
Authentication
Authentication may be handled through email-based login links or third-party identity providers. Authentication providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
Data sources
CPI indices originate from official public releases (for example, from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). We may cache CPI values to improve performance and reliability. We do not control the accuracy or timing of third-party data releases.
Payments
If payments are enabled, payment processing is handled by third-party providers such as Stripe. Payment details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
How we use information
We use collected information to operate and improve the Service, authenticate users, generate requested outputs, maintain security, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Aggregated or de-identified data may be used for analytics.
Administrative access
Authorized administrators may access stored information solely for operational, security, auditing, or support purposes. Administrative access is limited and does not change ownership of your data.
